I took these pictures because they got me thinking- we need nicer trashcans and better signage and what’s up with the metal cages? Can’t we organize them better? They junk up the place.
Here’s the open gorgeous area by the Admin Building. We should do something with this. I’d like to mulch around all the trees and make more meeting spaces. Ideas??
Here’s the end of the parking loop. Anyone else noticed we have parking issues? We were packed tonight with 2 classes and staff. Maybe we should pave the grass for more spots? Either way, we need signs!
Here’s the front of the Adoption Office. I’d like to cut back the shrubbery around the building and get a new screen door- this one’s broken too! Maybe some nice moulding around the screened area. We need to paint that cement wall too and bury the drainage pipe.
Here you can see where Karl trimmed out those 2 bushes and is felling those pines so they don’t tear out the fencing for the Rebel’s Parks. The Serenity Garden will be in this area- with our founder’s honorary marble bench and a new wishing well fountain and some dogwood trees.
Here’s the area that will soon be the “Doggie Door” for the pups up front in the Apotion Office. We need to transplant some trees & shrubs but this should be the next big renovation!
And here’s with some fresh mulch- now we need to get a better outliner and maybe some stepping stones or something to outline the plants? Karl is taking out the big tree in front of the Cat House so we’ll fix the brick path soon too!
Here’s the side of the Cat House as a “Before”. I added mulch and tried to scrub off the green- we need a stiff brush.
Here’s a continuation of the Cat House into the side of the Adoption Office. We want a new screen door to replace the broken one you can see in the pic and we need some new windows and a scrub brush to get rid of the green. We also need to get the rest of the rail ties to outline the newly planted gardens.
Ok so here you can see the Cat House with mulch & flowers- plus lack of overgrown shrubs and you can just make-out the bird house. The house itself seems kind of plain without the giant trees now- maybe we need sign on the side “Welcome” or even our logo? Maybe even some window shutters. Hmm…
